Paws Plus Mobile Vets services
At Paws Plus Mobile Vets, we recognise that each pet has unique health needs requiring tailored care. Our mobile veterinary services deliver comprehensive and advanced solutions directly to your home, ensuring your pet receives optimal care in a familiar environment. Dr. Ron, alongside a fully qualified Certificate IV veterinary nurse, offers extensive health evaluations, second opinions, palliative care, and advanced diagnostics. We are dedicated to providing compassionate, personalised care tailored specifically to your pet’s needs, ensuring every visit is as stress-free and convenient as possible for both you and your pet.
At home comprehensive sick pet examination
Determining the cause of illness can be challenging. Dr Baker will perform a complete clinical examination supplemented by blood and urine tests if needed to determine the reason your pet is sick. He will then work with you to develop a treatment plan that may include medications and other therapies. The goal is to provide a thorough diagnosis and effective treatment plan to help your pet recover and maintain their health.
At home second opinion consults
Dr Ron’s second opinion consults provide a crucial opportunity to decipher the intricate message conveyed by the initial veterinarian, often a specialist, who may employ complex medical terminology. These consults offer clarity by interpreting and simplifying this information, empowering pet owners to make informed decisions about their beloved companions’ care with confidence. Our second opinion service ensures you have all the information you need to make the best choices for your pet’s health.
Palliative end of life care plans
Terminal illness sadly can affect our pets. It can be a confronting and emotionally challenging time for owners. In conjunction with you, we can develop a palliative care plan to ensure that your pet is comfortable for the precious time that you have left. Our plans include reviewing current medications and addressing the physical, social, and emotional needs of your pet. Nothing can take away from your sadness at this time, but you can trust us to provide the support that you and your pet need. We strive to make this difficult period as peaceful and comforting as possible.
At home euthanasia
Knowing when to say goodbye is one of the hardest decisions any pet owner will face. We are here to make sure you never have to make this decision alone. Dr Ron is CAETA certified (The Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy) and will be there to guide you every step of the way, ensuring that your pet passes with dignity and compassion. Our at home euthanasia service allows your pet to spend their final moments in a familiar and loving environment, providing solace for both you and your pet.
Wound care and skin checks
Prompt treatment of skin conditions is essential for your pet’s comfort and health. Dr. Ron, with a special interest and extra training in dermatology, will address various skin conditions, including infections, allergies, and parasites, during a home visit, ensuring your pet’s skin remains healthy and comfortable.
Advanced tests and diagnostics
For complex health issues, accurate diagnosis is crucial. We are equipped to perform specific, focused tests and diagnostics, and we can also refer you to advanced imaging facilities if needed. This ensures that your pet receives the most precise and comprehensive care possible. Whether it’s blood work, ultrasound, or other diagnostic tests, we are committed to providing the best possible outcomes for your pet.
Referral to regular GP clinics & veterinary specialists
While many pet problems can be addressed during a home visit, there are times when a pet may require a procedure or treatment that needs to be performed at a regular vet clinic. We can refer you to a veterinary GP of your choice or to one of our GP partner clinics for these services. Additionally, if specialist services are necessary, we can arrange a referral to a veterinary specialist, ensuring your pet receives the highest level of care. Our network of trusted specialists allows us to provide comprehensive care for all your pet’s needs. Examples of the types of procedures that might require referral include full general anaesthesia, surgery (including desexing), dentistry, X-rays, and advanced imaging.
