Steps involved in a home visit consultation
Prepare for the visit
Please make sure your pet is calm and ready for our visit. Gather their health records and any important medical information. If possible, arrange a quiet area for the examination and keep other pets in a separate space to help your pet feel secure and undisturbed.
If your pet is a cat, keep them indoors and confined to a safe space to prevent escape.
Vet arrives: Initial discussion and assessment
When our vet team arrives, they will gently discuss your pet’s current health and any symptoms they may be experiencing. We will conduct an initial check-up to better understand your pet’s needs, ensuring our care is perfectly tailored to their well-being.
Comprehensive nose to tail exam
Our visit includes a thorough examination from nose to tail, focusing on any areas of concern you’ve noted. We’ll check vital signs and review all major body systems to ensure a comprehensive understanding of your pet’s health.
Diagnostic tests (if needed) & treatment
Based on the examination, our vet may recommend specific treatments to address any issues. If further diagnostic tests are needed, such as blood tests, we’ll discuss these options with you, including any additional costs. Should your pet require specialist care, we can facilitate this referral.
Post visit care
Before our team departs, we will ensure you have all the necessary information to care for your pet post-visit. This includes explaining any treatments administered, future appointments, and how to manage repeat prescriptions if needed.
